Very Spiny, and Shovel Nosed, Emsian, Lower Devonian Trilobite from Morocco, North Africa (SKU T0342):- Comura bultyncki

Fantastic, stunningly well preserved example of this very spiny, Lower Devonian trilobite. No one knows what all the spines were for but they believe it could be some kind of defensive against predators. The spade nose being some kind of sensory organ. Beyond museum grade example. Good detail on the eyes and lens. Looks like it is slithering over the rock. Comes in a display box and with a species/locality label. Found:- Hollardops Couche, Tazoulait Formation, Upper Emsian, Lower Devonian, Taharajat, Djebel Oufaten, Atlas Mountains, Morocco, North Western Africa. Age:- 400 Million Years Old. Size of trilobites (Outstretched) = 7 cm (2.75 Inches) long. Overall Size = 11.4 cm (4.5 inches) wide by 8.8 cm (3.5 inches) high.
