3.25 Inch, Cretaceous Theropod (Carnosaur) Dinosaur Tooth from Kem Kem Beds, Morocco (SKU V1460):- Carcharodontosaurus aff. saharicus

A very well preserved tooth from a Cretaceous Carnosaur  (Carcharodontosaurus) Theropod dinosaur from the famous Kem Kem beds of Morocco. It is difficult to assign a species to dinosaur teeth but its is highly likely that this tooth came from the most common Carnosaur species from that formation which is Carcharodontosaurus saharicus. There are no repairs, but the tooth has lost a few patches of enamel, no restoration to the crown that I can see when studied under a black (UV) light. Some consolidation to the very base of the root. Comes in a display box for display and with a species/locality label. Found:- Tegana Formation, Aptian, Cretaceous, Kem Kem Basin, Morocco, North Africa. Age:- 100 Million Years Old. Size of Tooth = 8.3 cm (3.25 inches) long. Display Box Size = 13.3 cm (5.25 inches) wide by 15.8 cm (6.25 inches) high.
