The positions will require very hard working, responsible people who have the ability to take on any number of tasks required to keep our online operations running smoothly and efficiently.

These are entry level positions and extensive training will be given through-out.

Job 1 - E-commerce Coordinator 


Start Date

       1st November 2021

       Position is based at our warehouse on the outskirts of Whitby, North Yorkshire

        

Salary and Hours

       40 hours a week flexi-time (preferred 8-hour day, including 30 mins for lunch)

      pay based on skills and experience but roughly between £10 - £12 per hour

      Paid monthly in arrears

       Statutory company pension and statutory holiday entitlement

       Willingness to work weekends and the occasional evenings as required

 

Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to)

       Create listings for new products to our online platforms.

       Help with the pricing, sorting, boxing and description labelling of specimens

       Working as a team to better design and maintain our online platforms and make them more efficient.

       Help to maintain stock levels by proactively identifying low levels of certain items

       Making sure orders are fulfilled and dispatched in a timely manner.

       Communicate with customers to help resolve any shipping related issues.

       Help to safely and efficiently package unique and delicate items, some may need custom packaging.

       Photographing specimens and edit the photos ready for uploading to the website platforms.

       Take responsibility to organization and cleanliness of the warehouse and office space.

       Help out on any task needed to assure continuous and efficient operations at our warehouse/offices

       Proactively identify problem areas, or areas where efficiency can be improved.

       Other duties as assigned.

 

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

       A positive, “can do” attitude and a willingness to take on any assigned task.

       Strong attention to detail and great focus.

       Very good organisational skills.

       Able to excel in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high standards.

       Willing to work on weekends and occasional evening as needed.

       Good communication skills both verbally and via email.

       Basic computer skills (Email, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel etc) 

 

Nice to Haves 

       Basic photo editing experience with software such as Adobe Lightroom or Photoshop.

       Some basic knowledge of Palaeontology, Biology, Geology, Zoology or anatomy.

       A passion for fossils, minerals and natural history.

       Personal experience selling items online such as running a store on Ebay or Etsy.

       Owning own driver’s licence.

 

 

 

 

Job 2 - Part Time Sales Assistant

 

Start Date

       1st November 2021

       Position is based at our retail unit on Grape Lane, Whitby, North Yorkshire

 

Hours

       Part time 3 days a week,

       7 hour per day including 30 minutes lunch

       pay based on skill and experience but between £9.50-£10 per hour

       Paid monthly in arrears

       Statutory company pension and statutory holiday entitlement

       Willingness to work weekends and the occasional evenings as required.

 

Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to)

       Customer service; creating a great shopping experience.

       Process till and credit card transactions.

       Deliver accurate cash handling and till operations.

       Help replenish the shelves and stock.

       Working part of a team to make our retail experience more efficient.

       Taking responsibility for organisation and cleanliness of our retail unit.

       Taking on any task needed to assure continuous and efficient operations at our retail unit.

       Proactively identify problem areas, or areas where efficiency can be improved.

       Other duties as assigned.
