A well preserved study grade example of this yorkshire Lias fossil ammonite that has been cut in half ad polished to show the internal features of the ammonite. Each air chamber has been infilled with various coloured calcite minerals. Only one polished half is supplied. Comes with a species/locality label. Found:- Commune Subzone, Bifrons Zone, Upper Lias, Lower Jurassic, Nr. Whitby, North Yorkshire, England. Age:- 180 Million Years Old. Size of Ammonite =  6.4 cm (2.5 inches) to 7.6 cm (3 inches) in diameter.
