A very rare complete stunning museum grade example of this very rare Lower Carboniferous, Fossil Coelocanth from a classic USA fossil locality, that i recently obtained from an old 1980’s collection. The rock has glue repairs, one through the head and one through the tail but these are simple glue repairs. There is some resoration to the matrix but none to teh fossil fish itself. The overall matrix has been backed with resin for strength all of these things can be seen in the attached photos. Comes in a display box with a species/locality label. Found:- Heath Member, Bear Gulch Formation, Serpukhovian Stage, Mississippian, Lower Carboniferous, Fergus County, Montana, USA. Age:- 320 Million Years Old. Size of Fish = 21 cm (8.25 inches) long. Overall Plaque Size = 22.3 cm (8.75 inches) wide by 7 cm (2.75 inches) high.
